Man who had been in a year-long custody battle over his two-year-old son got a shocking news on friday

Dillon Wyckoff who had been in a year-long custody battle over his two-year-old son, Mason Wyckoff got a tragic news on Friday that his little boy had passed away possibly at the hands of his mother. Emergency crews were called to his baby mama’s apartment where they found the deceased toddler alongside his unconscious mother, Stephenie Erickson.

He told the Des Moines Register:

“He was everything in my world. She had threatened and threatened to do it, and she did it to hurt me. They haven’t proven anything yet, but I know down deep that’s what happened. It’s been a year-long battle with all this stuff, and it’s been going downhill…We prayed and prayed it wouldn’t be this''

Mason’s grandmother, Michel Cunningham, said they had lived in fear for months on end, worrying about Erickson’s mental stability especially after she told Wyckoff he would “never see his son again”:I tried contacting DHS (the Department of Human Services). We’ve dealt with over seven different police departments for over a year. They kept telling us that we had to wait for ‘something to happen.’ And look at what did.
Erickson who was found unconscious beside her 2 year old son was taken to a local hospital and remains in serious condition, though it’s not clear what injuries she sustained or how she got them.
Erickson’s neighbor said she’d “sit outside and smoke and cry” and never really talked to neighbours,
Wyckoff said of his son, Mason He was always fun, always doing something. He was just getting to the age where I could start doing fun stuff with him, I was looking forward to a lot, a lot of fun. What we had is what we had, I don’t regret any moment of it.”Amid an ongoing investigation into the incident, Wyckoff is certain that Erickson killed him.

The Democratic Party chairwoman, Debbie Wasserman Schultz is resigning under pressure

The Democratic Party chairwoman, Debbie Wasserman Schultz is resigning under pressure as  a stunning leadership shakeup as party officials gather in Philadelphia to nominate Hillary Clinton as the Democratic presidential nominee. Wasserman Schultz’s announcement Sunday follows an outrage over hacked emails suggesting the Democratic National Committee favored Hilary Clinton during the primaries, even though she claimed she was neutral.
In a statement, Wasserman Schultz said she will step down at the end of the four-day convention which begins today. She said she plans to formally open and close the convention, as well as address delegates but didn’t address the email scandal. The leaked emails made the Democratic primary runner-up Bernie Sanders to call for Wasserman Schultz’s immediate resignation
Sanders had repeatedly accused the DNC of backing Clinton during the primaries. He said the 19,000 emails published by the website Wikileaks appeared to confirm his suspicions.
In one leaked email, a DNC official wondered whether Sanders’ religious beliefs could be used against him, questioning whether the candidate may be an atheist.
Sanders pressed for Wasserman Schultz to quit as chairwoman immediately. He also suggested that Clinton’s choice of running mate, Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine, was a disappointment and that he would have preferred Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a favorite of liberals.

“His political views are not my political views. He is more conservative than I am. Would I have preferred to see somebody like an Elizabeth Warren selected by Secretary Clinton? Yes, I would have,” Sanders told NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

The train made an emergency stop short of the station at Wurzburg-Heidingsfeld and the assailant jumped out of the train, Hench said. Police shot dead the suspect, a 17-year-old as he attempted to flee the scene.
It is quite probable that this was an Islamist attack,” said a ministry spokesman, adding that the attacker had apparently shouted “Allahu akbar” (God is greatest) as he stabbed people.
The attacker was said to have been carrying “weapons for slashing and cutting”, according to German media reports, including an axe.

The perpetrator was able to leave the train, police left in pursuit and as part of this pursuit, they shot the attacker and killed him,” said a spokesman for the Wurzburg police

Meet the Oldest commerical sex worker in Kenya

The oldest commercial sex worker in Kenya, Rosemary Johns, is surely heading for the Guinness Book of World Records after she told Standard Digital that she has slept with over 5,000 men in her over 30 years of working as a prostitute.
Johns who said is considering retiring from the trade, claims to be a staunch Christian of the Baptist faith and does not miss church service and other programmes while in full sex practice.

Recounting her foray into the world's oldest profession in 1984, Johns, who said she had to sell herself to take care of her children after her husband left her, said:

“I got married at 16, but after some time in marriage, my husband started neglecting us after I gave birth to five children.
When my husband left me, I became a barmaid in Musoma, Tanzania, before relocating to Nairobi where I joined some women along Digo Road where we would wait for clients day and night and charged Sh5 for our services.
The price remained the same for more than five years until it rose to Sh50 and finally over Sh100 in early 2000s, depending on the location.
On a good day then, I could sleep with up to 40 men but on a bad day, I had between five and 10 men. In all, I think I have slept with more than 5,000 men in my career.
Many things have changed in the last 30 years as nowadays, I see young girls joining us here and within days, they would be driving their own vehicles or running businesses.
Unfortunately, some of them steal from customers. They make quick money and invest well, but compared to years back, they are now too extreme even in their dressing. We used to dress nicely without exposing our breasts or butts to attract men.”
Nowadays, we depend on long-term customers. In fact, I had started a small business after getting Sh70,000 loan from a local bank, but fire razed down my house and shop in March.Even my baptismal card and other documents were burnt. That and other problems pushed me back to the business.”

Trump is at it again

Retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, under consideration by Republican Donald Trump as a possible vice presidential choice, said on Sunday he favors a woman's right to choose whether to have an abortion.
That stance places Flynn, the former head of the Defense Intelligence Agency, at odds with the official Republican Party position, which is firmly anti-abortion.
Asked about his position on abortion on ABC News' "This Week," Flynn, a registered Democrat, said "women have to be able to choose" and that women "have to make the decision because they're the ... ones that are going to decide to bring up that child or not."
Trump, the presumptive Republican White House nominee, has said he will pick his vice president before the party's nomination convention opens on July 18. Flynn has been an adviser to the Trump campaign since early this year.
The Washington Post reported on Saturday that Trump is becoming increasingly infatuated with Flynn, who ran the Defense Intelligence Agency from 2012-2014 under President Barack Obama, because he believes national unrest and the threat of terrorism may demand a "tough and steady" presence on the ticket.
As a businessman and real-estate developer, Trump also likes the idea of teaming up with another non-politician, the Post reported.
For weeks Trump has conducted a high-profile canvassing of Republican political stalwarts as part of his running mate search, but he has also made clear he is looking at what a military leader would bring to the ticket.A source familiar with the matter confirmed to Reuters on Saturday that Flynn had emerged as a possibility.

According to the source, Flynn is seen as someone who would be able to help Trump in the area of national security at a time of challenges abroad like the threat from Islamic State militants.
Trump is also considering more conventional vice presidential contenders, such as former House of Representatives Speaker Newt Gingrich, Indiana Governor Mike Pence or New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.

Hamza Osama's son has vowed to revenge his father's death

Hamza, 25, has vowed to carry on al Qaeda's fight against the US and its allies in a 21-minute audio message titled "We Are All Osama."
“We will continue striking you and targeting you in your country and abroad in response to your oppression of the people of Palestine, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Somalia and the rest of the Muslim lands that did not survive your oppression,” SITE Intelligence Group, an organisation that tracks white supremacist and jihadi organisations online, quoted him as saying.

“As for the revenge by the Islamic nation for Sheikh Osama, may Allah have mercy on him, it is not revenge for Osama the person but it is revenge for those who defended Islam,”

US commandos killed Bin Laden at his Pakistani hideout in 2011, the attack which was a major blow to the militant group, which carried out the September 11, 2001 attacks on the US.
In March 2003, it was claimed that Hamza and his brother Saad bin Laden had been wounded and captured in Ribat, Afghanistan, but it turned out to be false.in a 2005 video titled ‘The Mujahideen of Waziristan’, Hamza was shown participating in an al-Qaeda assault on Pakistani security forces in the south Waziristan tribal region between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
In September 2007, it was reported that he was again in the tribal belt encompassing the Pakistan/Afghanistan border region taking a senior role with al-Qaeda forces.

“Hamza provides a new face for al Qaeda, one that directly connects to the group’s founder. He is an articulate and dangerous enemy,” Bruce Riedel of Brookings said.
Hamza was at his father’s side in Afghanistan before the 9/11 attacks and spent time with him in Pakistan after the US-led invasion pushed much of al Qaeda’s senior leadership there, according to the Brookings Institution.

272 killed in South Sudan

Renewed fighting erupted in South Sudan's capital on Sunday and forces loyal to Vice President Riek Machar said his residence was attacked by the president's troops, raising fears of a slide back into full-blown conflict in the five-year-old nation.
There was no immediate response from the government of President Salva Kiir to the statement by Machar's spokesman. Kiir's information minister, Michael Makuei, said earlier the situation was under control and urged people to stay at home.
The two leaders, who fought each other in a two-year civil war that started in late 2013, had made a joint call for calm after clashes between rival factions broke out late on Thursday. At least 272 people have been killed in the fighting, a Health Ministry source told Reuters early on Sunday.
A Chinese U.N. peacekeeper was killed and several Chinese and Rwandan peacekeepers were injured, Japan's U.N. ambassador Koro Bessho said on Sunday after the U.N. Security Council was briefed on the situation. Japan is council president for July. The U.N. mission said U.N. compounds in Juba had been hit by small arms and heavy weapons fire.

"The Security Council expressed their readiness to consider enhancing (the U.N. mission) UNMISS to better ensure that UNMISS and the international community can prevent and respond to violence in South Sudan," Bessho told reporters.

He said the 15-member council encouraged countries in the region to prepare to send additional troops in the event the Security Council decides to boost the strength of the nearly 13,500-strong U.N. force. The council also stressed the need for peacekeepers to use all means necessary to protect civilians.
The U.S. State Department on Sunday demanded an immediate end to the fighting in SouthSudan and ordered the departure of non-emergency personnel from the U.S. Embassy in Juba.

"We're extremely worried about what appears to be the lack of command and control over the troops," U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power said on her way into the Security Council briefing, which the United States requested.

A confidential note to the council on Sunday from the U.N. Department of Peacekeeping, seen by Reuters, said: "UNMISS has adopted a proactive posture, conducting patrols within and outside" its compounds and has reinforced the perimeter security to enhance protection for displaced civilians and U.N. staff.
The note said the fighting "involved the use of attack helicopters and tanks" and that the U.N. compounds were in the cross-fire one U.N. Chinese peacekeeper was killed and six were others injured when the armoured vehicle in which they were travelling was shelled.
China's defence ministry issued a statement on Monday condemning the attack, and said it would strengthen safety measures.

Micah Xavier Johnson one of the suspected snipers is dead

Dallas police used an explosive device attached to a robot to kill Micah Xavier Johnson , who was a  suspect in the coordinated sniper attack that killed five officers on Thursday night/early Friday morning, in what experts say is a first for U.S. law enforcement
.
In a press conference Police Chief David Brown explained that after long hours of trying to negotiate with the suspect, the robot was deployed on the second floor of El Centro College in downtown Dallas early Friday morning.

“We cornered one suspect and we tried to negotiate for several hours – negotiations broke down, we had an exchange of gunfire with the suspect,” he said. “We saw no other option but to use our bomb robot and place a device on its extension for it to detonate where the suspect was,” he said. Brown explained that “other options” would have exposed the police officers to great danger.
