Newborn baby found dead at Tampines MRT toilet
SINGAPORE — A newborn baby was found dead in the first floor toilet of Tampines MRT station on Friday (June 3) afternoon.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to an incident requiring ambulance assistance at the said location at around 1.40pm. Within seven minutes, parademics had arrived on scene. The baby was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Police officers were also on site. The area around the toilet was cordoned off as authorities carried out investigations. A body bag was later seen being carried out from the toilet at around 4pm.
