Griezmann and Payet secure vital win for France

France are through to the second round of the ongoing European championships. Antoine Griezmann and Dmitry Payet both scored in the dying minutes as Le Blues who fought throughout the entire 90minutes saw off a determined Albania who are now out of the competition.
The host nation were stretched in their match against the debutants but their efforts paid off in the dying seconds as Atletico Madrid striker Griezmann netted the crucial goal for the hosts in the 89th minute. Dimitri Payet who scored France’ winner against Romania in the opening match of the tournament also got a goal in the dying seconds to ensure the hosts win their second game of the competition. It ended; France 2-0 Albania. Now on four points, Switzerland look so good in reaching the round of 16 after recording a 1-1 draw with Romania. Bodjan Stancu put Romania ahead with a spot-kick after he was being fouled in the box by the Swiss captain, the Swiss side leveled in the second half through Admir Mehmedi when he blasted home from a loose corner-kick.
Switzerland had chances begging to seal victory but were unable to convert and it looked as if the Romanians were contented with the result as they defended in numbers. That game ended, Switzerland 1-1 Romania. Meanwhile, goals by Vladmir Weiss and Marek Hamsik were enough for Slovakia to defeat Eastern European rivals Russia by 2-1 in a Group B encounter
