Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state sent a great message to intending couples in the state

The Anambra state governor said his administration would set up sickle cell clinics in the three senatorial districts of the state with state- of- the- art facilities and explained that people living with sickle cell disease would be attended to free of-charge under a Health Insurance Scheme that would commence in the Southeast state soon. The health commissioner explained: “In the Health Insurance Scheme, there is also a provision for treating free of-charge, the vulnerable, including people living with sickle cell disorder as our main target is to eradicate sickle cell anemia completely in this state and that is why we are urging everybody to know his/her genotype.” About two weeks ago, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, one of the three Senators representing Bayelsa state at the National Assembly said in his own opinion, Anambra state is the best state in Nigeria
